Efter flera års segdragna tvister så äger nu familjen Broccoli och MGM rättigheterna för brottsorganisationen SPECTRE och Ernst Stavro Blofeld.

Pressemddelandet som skickades ut efter att man ÄNTLIGEN hade fått till en ny process med Kevin McClorys dödsbo angående det som var hans stora sak under 60, 70 och 90–talet om vem som ägde allt som hörde till Thunderball. Kan vi få återigen se Ernst Stavro Blofeld och brottsorganisationen SPECTRE i en Bondfilm i framtiden, jag hoppas självklart på det. Seanst någon utav dom här syntes till i en film var For Your Eyes Only (1981) men även Diamonds Are Forever (1971).

Summan för den här rättsligaprcessen har ännu inte offentligt gjorts. Advokater som representerade McClorys arvingar hade följande att säga om detta: ”The 50-year intellectual property row involving James Bond was settled because of a great deal of hard work by the attorneys for the estate of Kevin McClory, MGM, and Danjaq and will benefit James Bond film fans throughout the world.”
